Eucalyptus Oil (eucalyptus globulus) comes from the leaves of the eucalyptus tree originating in Australia. It's aroma is strong, camphoreous, balsamic and slightly sweet. The oil shares many of the same actions as those of tea tree, myrtle, cajuput and niaouli, all members of the mytracea family.

A major expectorant and anti-catarrhal, the action of eucalyptus oil is primarily on the respiratory system, clearing lung phlegm, and benefitting other complaints such as sore throats, colds, sinusitis and laryngitis. A synergistic blend with tea tree and thyme will work as a tonic for the immune system and help prevent recurring infections.
